Planning and costs/Time and budget, from the project

Build the programme of works with its critical path and read the bill of quantities line by line, from the project documents.

BluSea planning editor with the programme of works for a road and its critical path (interface in Spanish)
BluSea's planning editor with the programme of works for a road: chapters, activities, milestones, dependencies and critical path.

BluSea for planning and costs

The programme of works, in minutes.

Built from the tender documents and the design, or imported from Primavera and MS Project, with the critical path calculated.

The bill of quantities, line by line.

BC3 read with its chapters, quantities and unit-rate breakdowns; every line item is cited and opens in its viewer.

Durations that come from the quantities.

Quantity, output rate and crews: every duration in the programme, explained from its line item.

Structure under construction seen from above

Every step of preparation, made simpler

The project's deadlines, with their page.

BluSea reads the tender documents, the design and its annexes and extracts what shapes the programme: completion period, interim milestones, phases, working calendar and constraints. Every data point, with its citation. It also detects contradictions between documents.

Frequently asked questions

Which planning software does it work with?

It imports programmes from Primavera (XER) and MS Project (XML), and exports to MS Project, PDF and image so you can keep working where you already do.

Can it build the programme of works from scratch?

Yes. From the tender documents and the design: chapters, activities, links and milestones, with every data point cited and anything missing marked as an assumption.

Does it read BC3 bills of quantities?

Yes. Chapters, line items, quantities and unit-rate breakdowns, in a tree viewer like the one in your estimating software. Every line item is cited and opens in place.

Does it take quantities from drawings?

From DXF drawings it counts blocks and measures lengths and areas by layer; from IFC models it takes the declared quantities. Anything unreliable is flagged.

How does it calculate durations?

From the line item's quantity, the output rate and the number of crews. The calculation is written into each activity.

What happens if the tender documents and the design give different deadlines?

BluSea detects it, flags it and applies the document that takes precedence.

Are my documents secure?

Everything runs on Microsoft Azure, within the EU. Your team signs in with the company account, and your data is never used to train models.
